Welcome
This project aims to survey all species of dragonflies in the province county of Östergötaland, in the southeast part of Sweden, during the period of 2008-2012. To accomplish this, Östergötland has been divided into 161 10x10 km squares. These squares are surveyed by voluntaries who consist of a blend of long time dragonfly enthusiasts as well as happy amateurs who more recently has taken an interest in dragonflies. The latter complies very well with the second goal of the project – to raise the awareness and knowledge of dragonflies among the general public. To further accomplish this we arrange several field trips and courses, all which are open to anyone.
